Shivnagar Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Shivnagar was constituted in 1972 to bring the stream of education from pre - primary to diploma and degree level in the rural area. It is sponsored by the Malegaon Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. Shivanagar, Tal. Baramati Dist. Pune. Hon'ble Shri. Sharadchandraji Pawar, minister for Agricultural & Food Govt. of India is the president. Respected Shri Chandrarao Taware is the Vice President.

Duration of the diploma coursesin engineering is THREE years. Nineteen batches of Diploma Engineers have successfully passed out.
Campus and Building Complex
 The campus spreads over an expanse of 45 acres. The campus is beautifully landscaped bestowed with lawns & all types of flowering beds & trees.
Adequate infrastructural facilities are available. Well planned building area houses office, laboratories, workshops, library, gymnasium, Computer Center, hostels (Boys & Girls), mess, canteen, staff quarters and playground. The beauty of the campus has created the right atmosphere for concentration & grasping of technical knowlege. The climate is pleasant throughout the year with max temprature 36°C and minimum upto 15° C.
Qualifying Examination and Eligibility for Admissions
1) For admission to first year :- The candidate must have passed S.S.C.(X) or any other equivalent examination with not less than 50% Marks (45% in case of backward class candidates in Maharashtra State)
2) For admission to direct second year:- The candidate must have passed H.S.C. (XII) science with vocational / Technical subject (A- 2, A-3, A-4, C-2, IT-97, D-9) with not less than 50% marks for open and 45% marks for B.C.candidates. 10% seats of the intake are available for eligible candidates.
3) Double diploma: - The students can avail the facility as per MSBTE rules.
